Hotel Louisville’s cross on the outside symbolizes the Christian spirit inside.
Where Faith Meets Action:
The Cross That Guides Hotel Louisville's Mission
The giant cross on Hotel Louisville's brick tower isn't just decoration—it's a promise. Inside this building, Christian love transforms lives every single day.
As part of Wayside Christian Mission, Hotel Louisville dedicates 85% of its space to housing and serving homeless neighbors. The remaining 15% operates as a social enterprise, with profits going right back into helping those in need.
This isn't your typical hotel. Recovery program clients, homeless veterans, and hospital families all find shelter here. But what makes Hotel Louisville truly special is the Christian spirit that guides every interaction.

"The staff believes in being 'my brother's keeper,'" explains Wayside COO, Nina Moseley. "These are God’s people and we are doing God’s work."

Larry, a veteran and former resident, keeps coming back to volunteer. He found something precious at Hotel Louisville—belonging. "There's a lot of love in this building," Larry shared. "I need people to believe in me and I need people to love me, and I need people to love." He finds all three at the Hotel.
Tara graduated from the recovery program and is now in transitional housing while becoming established in employment. Her words paint a powerful picture: "Wayside has been a light in the darkness. It has been a shelter in the rain, and it has been a life preserver when I thought I was drowning."

Nina sums up the Hotel's heart perfectly: "That large cross on the outside of our Hotel symbolizes the amazing Christian servitude going on inside. Serving our homeless neighbors is an act of Christian love."

Don't Let Homelessness Kill a Child's Dreams

Right now, a smart 8-year-old is doing homework under a streetlight because she has nowhere to go. A 12-year-old is skipping school because his shoes have holes and kids will make fun of him.
These kids aren't failing because they can't learn—they're failing because they can't focus when they're just trying to survive. Your $25 buys school supplies that say "you matter." Your $50 buys clothes that help them feel good about themselves. Your $100 helps give a child food and shelter, so they’ll have everything they need to stop just getting by and start doing great.
Every homeless child you help today could become tomorrow's teacher, doctor, or leader. Will you be the reason they succeed? Give to our Back-To-School Fund now.
Call 502-345-0081 or Donate Now.

Sarah, a candidate for National Honor Society, visited the kids at the Shelter with goodie bags.

CT Ministries of Houston, Texas, donated clothing and other items to the Mission.

We hope everyone enjoyed a fun, safe July 4th. Spike is a big fan of our independence.
