Wayside Christian Mission continues to work with the Louisville Health Department and the City of Louisville to provide temporary housing and support for people who need a place to isolate themselves due to testing positive for COVID-19. Hotel Louisville has temporarily closed its hotel lodging and Cardinal Cafe, both open to the public. The decision was made so that the hotel could focus its resources on providing a positive isolation experience for COVID-positive people. As the Omicron variant spreads to over one-third of the general population, Wayside continues to conduct COVID-19 tests at the shelter and hotel with the help of the Ky Nurses Association.
